New Growth in Stumptown: Young Portlanders Face Twenty-First Century Challenges - Spring 2007
This report, published by Connected By 25, identifies challenged facing Portland, especially for those under age 25, in light of the growing population that is increasingly divided by race and class, a shifting economy, and the fact that young Portlanders need more support to succeed. Beyond City Limits: Cross-System Collaboration to Reengage Disconnected Youth (2007)
This report describes how eight different cities have launched cross-system initiatives and what they have accomplished through these new collaborations. Their efforts vary greatly and involve a broad array of partners. The experience of all eight cities suggests that simply opening a dialogue about the gaps between public systems serving young people can yield major dividends, and that the benefits of collaboration become evident even when as few as two key agencies start working together. Too Big To Be Seen: The Invisible Dropout Crisis in Boston and America (May, 2006)
This report serves as both a primer on the dropout issue and a roadmap for the work needed to do as a community. Boston, under the decade-long leadership of Superintendent Thomas W. Payzant, has achieved well documented success in improving the quality of its public school education and outcomes for its graduates. How can Boston do for its struggling students and dropouts what it has begun to do for its graduates? This report captures the first year of a two-year strategic assessment of the dropout problem in Boston, with the express purpose of mapping a set of answers to that question.

Stronger Schools, Stronger Cities (2004)
A 30-month Municipal Leadership in Education (MLE) project was launched in June 2001 with financial support from Carnegie Corporation of New York. The MLE project set out to support and assist local communities and to illustrate the leadership roles that mayors and council members can play  and are playing  to promote and support school improvement. The project also sought to identify promising practices in municipal leadership and school improvement, while developing a range of tools and resources for mayors and council members who are interested in strengthening K-12 education.
Connected by 25: A Plan for Investing in Successful Futures for Foster Youth (2003)
This investment plan calls for government, foundations, community organizations, and individuals to mobilize their energy and resources with a greater focus on the future of foster youth and those aging out of foster care. This plan outlines five strategies aimed at helping foster youth to achieve economic success, which is a critical building block for future success in a number of fundamental aspects of adult life, including housing, family stability, safety, health, and social well-being.
