Promising and Effective Practices Network (NYEC PEPNet)
NYEC PEPNet is a system for enhancing the quality of programs that link young people to work and education to promote a successful transition to adulthood. Among other things, the NYEC PEPNet system includes the PEPNet Quality Standards and the PEPNet Online Tools for Program Improvement.

This initiative identifies and provides resources to strengthen the KSAs that youth service practitioners need to work with all youth, including youth with disabilities.

Expanding and Financing Education Options for Struggling Students and Out-of-School Youth
NYEC is building the capacity of states, local communities, and education systems to serve struggling students and out-of-school youth.

Transition to Higher Education
NYEC is developing a national policy framework, informed by research and practice, to better serve out-of-school youth ages 16 to 24 as they transition from youth development and workforce development programs to post-secondary education.

Education Development Network (NYEC EDNet)
NYEC EDNet is a tool for continuous improvement for education programs and schools serving vulnerable youth. The tool consists of detailed criteria for effective education programs and a self-assessment to assist in improving services.

Work Readiness Credential
This project is preparing young people, ages 17 to 21, who are participating in job readiness training programs to take the National Work Readiness Credential assessments and earn the Work Readiness Credential (WRC). The WRC is based on the Equipped for the Future (EFF) standards defined by business for entry-level work readiness.
